VISION SUNDAY

Vision Sunday is a special Sunday where we present the vision for the coming year in a short film. We look at the developments of the different City Life Churches, new things that are coming this year and the ‘why’ behind the things we do.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

In the year 325 AD, this creed was formulated in Nicaea by the church leaders of that time. Now, more than 1,700 years later, virtually all churches still subscribe to it! This is what we believe:

We believe in one God, the almighty Father, Creator of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God; begotten, not made, of one substance with the Father;
through Him all things were made. For the sake of us humans and for our salvation, He came down from heaven and became flesh by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary and became man.

He was also crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, suffered, and was buried. On the third day He rose again in accordance with the Scriptures.

He ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of the Father, and will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead. And His kingdom will have no end.

And in the Holy Spirit, who is Lord and giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who together with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.

And one holy, catholic, and apostolic church.

We confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.

We look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the age to come.
